(a) Awarded for permanent wear upon successful completion of the TXSG Search & Rescue, Technician Course (SARTECH II) and issuance of TXSG Certificate and Form 1059.

(b) TXSG-SAR School - Search and Rescue Technician (SARTECH II)
• Meet all TXSG-SAR Program Prerequisites.
• Complete National Association for Search and Rescue FUNSAR coursework.
• Complete National Association for Search and Rescue SARTECH II practical certification.
• Must meet TXSG HT/WT Policy.
• Pass the TXSG PT Test.
• Pass the TXSG Timed 3-Mile Pack Test (25 lbs. minimum weight) 60 mins.
• Must recertify every three years through NASAR and the TXSG Training Center.
Search & Rescue Field Team Lead Badge (Senior Badge)
• Awarded for permanent wear upon successful completion of the TXSG Search & Rescue, Field Team Leader Course (SARTECH I) and issuance of TXSG Certificate and Form 1059.
• Meet all TXSG-SAR Program Prerequisites.
• Complete all requirements for SARTECH II plus:
• Complete National Association for Search and Rescue SARTECH FTL / SARTECH I course and practical certification.
• FEMA IS-559: Local Damage Assessment.
• FEMA IS240.b: Leadership and Influence.
• FEMA IS241.b: Decision Making and Problem Solving.
• ICS-300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents.
• Earn the Senior MEMS.
Search and Rescue Manager Badge (Master Badge)
• Awarded for permanent wear upon successful completion of the TXSG Search & Rescue, Search Manager Course, and issuance of TXSG Certificate and Form 1059.
• Meet all TXSG-SAR Program Prerequisites.
• Complete all requirements for SARTECH II and SARTECH I plus:
• Complete National Association for Search and Rescue SARTECH SARMGR course and practical certification.
• ICS-400: Advanced ICS Command and General Staff - Complex Incidents.
• Earn the Master MEMS.
